The last leg of our trip!

Yesterday, we left Grandma Eileen's house and began the last leg of our journey to New Hampshire. With the exception of almost missing our connecting flight at LAX, our trip was uneventful and we made it to New Hampshire safe and sound. Here are a few pics of the day of travel, enjoy!

Blog bLog blOg bloG will be getting a Facelift!

My blog is in need of a facelift! Sometime in the next few weeks, you'll see a whole new look. All the old content will remain in the archives, but the blog will have a redesigned look and feel appropriate for our new locale.

Back on the Mainland

We've been back in the mainland US since Monday morning! After a long night of traveling, we arrived safely at my Mom's house in San Jose. Boy does it feel good to be back in the CONUS. You don't realize how many little things you've missed until you get back.

The weather the last few days has been spectacular. Dry and cool...unseasonably cool for central California. However, a welcomed change from the tropics. I'm sure this winter in New Hampshire I'll be longing for the hot humid days of Guam.

We're all adjusting to the time change well. Sophia is doing great. A little fussy here and there, but all things considered, she is being a little angel. Grandma's house is not baby-proof and Sophia's been getting into everything if not watched closely. Here is a shot of here caught red handed!

We'll be here in San Jose until this Sunday morning, then, it's off to New Hampshire! 

Waikiki Zoo

We spent the day strolling through downtown Waikiki. We ended up visiting the zoo after we had lunch. The zoo was a lot bigger than I expected. Saw almost all of the exhibits. The boys had a lot of fun, especially Jon Jon. Sophia was not as interested in the animals as I thought she would be. I think she was tired, she fell asleep about half way through the zoo. Here are some pics from the day.













              

Having fun in Waikiki!

We've been in Hawaii since Monday evening. So far we're having a lot of fun. Spent some time with my Sis and her lovely daughter Annabelle. Went shopping at the Navy Exchange today and then took the boys to the Singapore Hangar on Hickam AFB. Here are a few shots from the last couple of days.

Johnnie Walker on the Rocks!

Johnnie Walker on the Rocks! A local favorite in these parts. It's also been enjoyed in Palau.

Mr. Walker ran his boat aground on Magundas Reef. It's been there for a couple of weeks. No media coverage, not sure why, did some pretty gnarly damage to the reef. A friend of mine took these pics from a helo.

The word on the street is that this was an unfortunate combination of the autopilot and some entertainment along for the ride. Wow, what a ride that must have been! 

T-27: Another Happy Morning

Sophia is always very pleasant in the morning. Today was no exception. She was bright and bubbly and having a lot of fun before heading off to the community germ pool. 

T-28: Kick Flip

T-29: VADM K. R. Wheeler

I took this shot of the VADM K.R. Wheeler while at work today. The Wheeler is the MSC's OPDS (offshore petroleum distribution system). It is prepositioned here in Guam and makes it's home at Naval Base Guam. Today they were testing their fire fighting gear. The ship can stay stationary unassisted  with it's directional thrusters. A very cool ship!

T-30: Happy Girl Taking a Bath

Sophia graduated to the big bath tub last week! She now enjoys bath time even more and gets to crawl around in the tub. Tonight she pulled her self into a standing position for the first time in the tub. Too much fun!
